Terms and Conditions

This user agreement (Agreement) establishes the terms and conditions of use between you (User) and Tips Travel, trading as [Tips Travel] (we). Prior to using the Tips Travel website (Site) and making any bookings, please carefully read and acknowledge these Terms and Conditions. By visiting the Site, you are deemed to accept and agree to these Terms and Conditions without reservation. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms and Conditions, you are not permitted to use the Site or make any bookings. Any inquiries or concerns regarding customer service or your booking should be directed to Tips Travel or sent to info@tipstravel.co.uk.

The contents of these Terms and Conditions include:

  1. Your Agreement and Contract
  2. Conditions for Delivery of Your Booking
  3. Cancellations or Booking Changes
  4. Terms and Conditions for Flight Booking
  5. Payment Conditions
  6. Passport, Visas, and Health Requirements
  7. Other Generally Applicable Terms and Conditions

Your Agreement and Contract

A “booking” refers to any order you place on our site for products or services that we offer. The receipt of your booking and the conclusion of a contract will occur when Tips Travel receives full payment from you and sends a verification email, either from Tips Travel or the relevant Travel Agent. Please note that all travel products and services featured on the Site are subject to availability. The specific terms and conditions related to your booking will depend on the type of booking you make, such as a Flight or other Package, hotels, holiday lodges, or a combination of products.

Tips Travel acts as an intermediary on behalf of third-party suppliers, including airlines, hotels, insurance and car rental companies, package holiday suppliers, and others (Travel Suppliers). When you make a booking through the Site and the chosen travel product or service is available, the contract will be between you and the Travel Supplier. Tips Travel is not a party to the contractual relationship.

For “Other Products,” which are separate products purchased and paid for at different times, or holidays packaged by another supplier, the contract will be between you and the Travel Supplier if the chosen travel product or service is available. Tips Travel is not a party to the contractual relationship.

TIPS TRAVEL STRONGLY RECOMMENDS THAT YOU OBTAIN INSURANCE FOR ANY HOLIDAY, ESPECIALLY AS THERE MAY BE CIRCUMSTANCES WHERE NEITHER TIPS TRAVEL NOR THE TRAVEL SUPPLIER CAN ACCEPT LIABILITY (e.g., DELAYS OR CANCELLATIONS BEYOND OUR CONTROL).

Travel Suppliers

TIPS TRAVEL functions as a representative that discloses information on behalf of third-party suppliers. By using these terms and conditions, which include tour operators, hotels, hotel chains, hotel aggregators, insurance and car suppliers, as well as airlines, they are collectively referred to as “Travel Suppliers.” In such cases, your contractual agreement is directly between you and the respective Travel Supplier. Therefore, if you have any questions or concerns about the product, you should contact them. The name, address, and contact details of most suppliers can be found at the bottom of the additional information section for each product, and for all suppliers in any confirmation email that we or the Travel Supplier send you. TIPS TRAVEL does not assume any responsibility for the travel products and services offered by the Travel Supplier. Additionally, we do not provide any explicit or implied representations or warranties regarding the suitability or quality of the travel products and services featured on the Site.

Travel Supplier Conditions

The following conditions are applicable to all products or services booked through our website: In addition to the terms and conditions stated here, you will be subject to the terms and conditions of the respective Travel Supplier. This includes the terms and conditions of airlines regarding carriage. The Travel Supplier’s terms and conditions may cover various aspects such as payment procedures, default, liability, cancellations, booking changes, refunds (if available), and any other limitations. Therefore, while navigating through the website, you will come across links to specific terms and conditions that apply to Travel Supplier products (it is advisable to carefully review those terms). However, it is important to consult your specific Travel Supplier for complete information regarding their terms and conditions. You are responsible for adhering to any requirements set by airlines or other Travel Suppliers, including check-in times, flight reconfirmation, or any other relevant matters.

Flights Booking Terms & Conditions

1.     Please note the following important information regarding air fares:

2.     Different fare types have specific terms associated with them. For instance, “economy restricted” tickets are typically non-changeable and non-refundable.

3.     It is crucial to use flights in the order specified in your itinerary. Failure to use the outbound flight or the first segment of your journey may invalidate the remaining portions of your ticket.

4.     For flight tickets, it is recommended to check in at least 120 minutes before departure for international flights and 90 minutes for domestic flights. Some airlines may require you to reconfirm your return flight at least 72 hours before travel. Failure to do so directly with the airline could result in cancellation.

5.     Airlines have the right to make schedule changes and cancel confirmed bookings. While TIPS TRAVEL, as an agent, is not responsible for such changes or cancellations, our customer services will assist you to the best of our ability.

6.     If you have specific seat requests, especially when traveling in economy class, we strongly recommend checking in early. However, please note that TIPS TRAVEL has no control over seat allocations, even if pre-booked with the airline, and cannot guarantee the availability of specific seats at departure.

7.     Any costs incurred for transfers between airports or terminals are not the responsibility of TIPS TRAVEL.

8.     Flights booked at special fares or best prices may not follow the most direct route. Some itineraries may require a change of aircraft during the journey. A flight described as “direct” means that the flight number remains the same, but there may be stops for refueling or passenger embarkation/disembarkation en-route.

General

1.     Taxes are included in the booking process for flight tickets and hotels.

2.     When booking, you have the option to provide details of any relevant frequent flyer or hotel loyalty program you are a member of. However, please be aware that these programs are subject to the terms and conditions set by the respective airline or hotel. Not all fare types or classes of service may be eligible for rewards. If you have any concerns or questions about the program’s terms and conditions, please consult the airline or hotel directly.

3.     Each Travel Supplier has its own rules and regulations regarding loyalty cards. If you have inquiries regarding loyalty cards, please contact the Travel Supplier directly.

4.     Regarding special requests (such as meals, disabled facilities, child seats, etc.) for any product, TIPS TRAVEL cannot guarantee the fulfillment of such requests. However, we will forward these requests to the Travel Supplier or hotel on your behalf.

5.     It is your responsibility to confirm with the Travel Supplier or hotel whether they can accommodate your special requests.

Delivery of Your Booking

All bookings made through our website are subject to the following terms and conditions:

E-tickets:

During the booking process, you will be given the option to choose between e-tickets and paper tickets. Please note that each airline has its own rules regarding e-ticketing. We recommend checking these rules with your airline before travel as we are not responsible for any non-compliance.

Ticket Delivery:

We rely on the accuracy of the information you provide for ticket delivery. We are not responsible for lost paper tickets due to incorrect addresses or undelivered e-tickets due to incorrect email addresses or spam filters. Please notify us promptly of any changes to your email address or contact number. Make sure the name on your passport matches the name on your ticket. We do not deliver paper tickets outside the UK. If you have special delivery requirements, inform us immediately after booking. It is your responsibility to inform us if you have not received your tickets. If you have other bookings, inform us in advance if you need tickets from us by a specific time. Some airlines may charge for re-issuing lost or delayed tickets. Contact us within 48 hours if you haven’t received your tickets.

Cancellations or Modifications:

Cancellation or modification of booked products or services depends on the terms and conditions of the specific Travel Supplier or hotel. Some products or services may not be cancellable or modifiable, or there may be specific requirements to meet. For flight bookings, contact our call centre or email us. Car rental cancellations or amendments within seven days of booking incur a charge of 15 per rental, while those after seven days incur a charge of 40 per rental. Some travel products or services require a written request and payment of additional fees for cancellation or modification. Failure to show up for a flight may result in ticket cancellation by the airline, and no refund will be issued. Failure to cancel a car rental reservation may result in a no-show charge of 100% of the booking value.

Payment Terms:

Full payment for Flight Packages is required at the time of booking. Additional charges may apply for car rental, and payment timing varies depending on the product or service. Payment can be made by major debit and credit cards. We reserve the right to charge additional handling fees related to credit card bookings. Refunds will be processed to the original form of payment. Taxes fluctuate with exchange rates. Failure to provide correct billing information may result in booking cancellation and fare increase. We may request proof of address and credit card information before issuing tickets.

Passports, Visas, and Health:

Passport and visa requirements vary depending on your citizenship and destination. British Citizens should ensure their passport is valid for the duration of their trip, and children must have their own passport. Travelers to the United States must fulfill visa requirements or qualify for the Visa Waiver Scheme. Check the US Embassy and UK Passport websites for details. It is your responsibility to possess a valid passport, visa, and comply with health requirements.

Other Terms:

We are not liable for failures or injuries not caused by us, our agents, or Travel Suppliers. Our liability for direct loss is limited to the total price of the products or services, excluding death or personal injury. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Contact customer services for inquiries or complaints. Log complaints with the Travel Supplier during your stay and notify us within 30 days of return. Advance Passenger Information is required for travel to certain countries, and non-compliance may result in denied entry.

Please note that these terms and conditions are applicable to all bookings made through our website.”
